Kūkūwai Consulting is owned and operated by Daniel Wairepo (BEngTech) and Jacqui Wairepo (MSc ConBio, 1st Class Hons). 

Daniel is a qualified Civil Engineer with almost 20 years experience in civil engineering design and construction works.  With a background in irrigation engineering, Daniel has a passion for hydrological management and

applying environmental solutions to engineering challenges. 

Daniel specialises in land development.

Jacqui is an experienced ecologist and specialist herpetologist with 15 years experience working in the conservation research and ecological consultancy sectors. Jacqui has a wealth of experience in the RMA and development space, having provided ecological services to clients seeking to gain resource consent for development projects. 

Jacqui has a passion for indigenous wildlife management with expertise in lizard, frog, bat, bird and invertebrate management and translocations.
